The new blogger setup means I can email-stalk people. By "new" I mean "more-recent". By "people" I mean "Wendy". And by "email-stalk" I mean "possibly email depending on how bored I am at work, which is looking more likely given that I'm blogging from work, but I might not get around to it".

I have pets! Paradise Fish to be precise, named Petrov & Natalya. Because these ones were born in the Czech Republic. Really, who imports tropical fish into Scotland from the Czech Republic?

I have a quote I like too: "One of the advantages of being disorderly is that one is constantly making exciting discoveries" - A.A. Milne

It makes me feel less bad about never getting around to a lot of the many projects that I plan. I get a lot of them done though! Next up, teaching my computer to import .RAW files properly, because Picasa seems to think that they're .MOV. Sure, I can copy them straight off the CF card, but that's slow. My g33k ju-ju is week.

Wendy, visit the UK, and I can give you recommendations. There's a few fantastic pubs in Edinburgh...

See Wendy I tend to get really excited about starting something, make all these grand plans about how great the thing I'm going to do will be, get halfway through and chicken out.
I worry that what I'm doing isn't going to be good enough, it's going to suck and everyone will hate it, so why should I even finish something that everyone is going to HATE? Even though I know I have done a decent job and it will be ok.

And then I tell myself to suck it up and get it done, because everyone will hate me equally as much for committing to and selling something that was supposedly so great and then never finishing it.

So I find your advice very encouraging, it is like a ye olde cheer squad for my project management skillz.

HAY GUYS AWESOME QUOTE

I just read this and it is awesome so I am posting it here:

"Whatever you do, do it to the purpose; do it thoroughly, not
superficially. Go to the bottom of things. Any thing half done, or half
known, is in my mind, neither done nor known at all. Nay, worse, for it
often misleads."

See I spend a lot of time trying to do as much as possible and I frequently compromise on quality due to that. So I really really want to take this advice.

GUYS I AM BACK ON THE BLOG IT IS GOOD TO SEE/READ YOU ALL

this blog is like el nino, you think it's gone away and then it comes right on back, making summer crazy and weird.

Wendy it is great to hear from you! How far west is 'west'? South Africa or not that far?

I'm still in Melbourne. Ben is still in Melbourne. We live with Rocket and Leroy, they are the dogs and I will make a point of showing you some pictures soon.

Not wanting to make this sound like a lameo Christmas letter, I had an entire bowl of gnocchi bolognese tonight and now I have a stick-out belly like an African child.

Just how much more West, anyway?

Yeah, well... I'm more.. full... of CEREAL.

YES.

I spent three hours last night bellydancing and now... I wish I could say "I can't feel my legs" for the amusement value but oh.... how I can feel them.

I am stoked that this blog is still alive and kicking the internet!

What?

I got confused by the publish date on my blogger dashboard. Now I understand.

Well, not really.

I'M FURTHER WEST THAN YOU WENDY.

I am filled with nostalgia, longing, confusion, and rice bubbles.

(This is Wendy/Glassfishie, but I have migrated all my Blogspot stuff over to my google account, Sassamifrass).
