For those who don't care about gauntlets, please ignore this. Those who do care may want to ignore it too, as it's not that interesting. The gauntlet in question is a glove, usually made either of leather or metal, or a combination, used to protect the hand when involved in hand-to-hand combat (eg swords and stuff). The phrase "to throw down the gauntlet" pretty much means to issue a challenge, and comes from the English royal succession, when the champion of the heir would throw down his gauntlet, challenging anyone who disputed the royal succession. I think the succession of George (the most recent) was the last time the challenge was issued, but I'm not sure - fairly sure that even by then it was almost purely ceremonial. Just because it should make people jealous, I'm going on a jumping castle tonight. Between drinks. Oh yes - drinking, jumping castle, and lots of people. It might be just me, but that is one hell of a recipe for fun!
I'm with Elise on the whole cat mask thing. The fact that you don't have a photo up on the blog makes you mysterious Zoe. Which means you should tell us why you got arrested.
There is something placed in the water at the end of summer, I swear. Something with potent relationship-inducing qualities.....
