SUCH A HIVE, THIS PLACE. OF ACTIVITY, THAT IS.
Here's a BEN update, not that anyone asked for one or anything D:
I don't know what I was doing when I actively contributed to this one so I'll start from the beginning.
As you all know, I moved to Melbourne and fell deeply in love with a tram. I rode said tram all the way to full time work.
I worked full time in a shithouse job for 10 months. I moved to a less shithouse job that became a more shithouse job during the 14-16 (who knows) months that I stayed there.
I cracked it, went home for lunch one day, and looked for ANOTHER job, hopefully one that would be less shithouse.
I found such a job at 1-Stop Connections Pty Ltd (www.1-stop.com.au).
I began at this company in May 2004 and climbed the corporate ladder like no motherfucker you've ever seen. In May 2005, I was offered a position in Sydney as 'Customer Service Manager' (what a fucking stupid title).
What I really do: Manage our customer service reps, specify, test, and manage implementation of bug fixes and enhancements to our web applications (yawn).
So basically they made an offer I couldn't refuse, so I didn't refuse it. After consultation with Elise we decided to move to Sydney and live the life of an upper-middle class career oriented couple.
At twenty fucking two years of age.
Life's pretty fucking good for the moment, I must say.
I've been working in Sydney for three whole weeks now, and really enjoying my work. It's quite busy at times, but to be frank, they pay me a wad of cash.
I also have a new blog at www.tetchy.org - it's spam ridden at the moment because I neglected it until just yesterday. I am now going to make an effort to post here more often.
My toothbrush does not make my gums bleed.
My fire twirling stick does not burn me (it does not exist).
